2 killed, 4 injured in Karachi incidents
KARACHI, Oct 04 (INP): At least two persons were killed and four others injured in various mishaps in different localities of Karachi city on Sunday.
According to the police the first incident occurred in Mehmoodabad area when unidentified 40 year old person was crushed under train while trying to cross railway track in hurry. The body was first shifted to Jinnah Hospital for autopsy and then handed over to Edhi for burial.
At Faisal Avenue a speeding passenger bus hit a motorcycle carrying three persons. As a result Naseem 45, his wife Abida 35 and son Obaid 07 sustained injuries. The passersby shifted the injured to Jinnah Hospital where Naseem succumbed to his injuries. The bus driver responsible for the accident managed to flee from the scene.
Two persons sustained injuries during a clash between two rival groups in Machar colony. Both groups used batons and knives against each other during the clash. The injured included Muhammad Zaheer 40 and Muhammad Saleem 35, who were later shifted to Jinnah Hospital.
The police registered separate cases in all incidents and have initiated the investigation.
