Afghan national held with arms, ammunition while crossing border
LANDI KOTAL, May 24 (INP): Khasadar Forces have arrested a suspect after an encounter and recovered arms, ammunition and currency from his possession at Tor Kham, near Pak-Afghan border.
According to naib Tehsildar Adil Wasim Khatak, three Afghan nationals were attempting to cross the border at Tor Kham when Khasadar Forces challenged them and asked to surrender. However, they opened fire at the forces and tried to flee.
The force arrested one of the suspects identified as Nazar Meer after prolong encounter, while his two accomplices managed to flee into Afghan territory.
Official sources claimed that the suspects were entering into Pakistan to carry out terror activities.
The security forces recovered arms, ammunition and Pakistani currency from his possession.
The detainee was sifted to jail in Landikotal after registering a case.
