Balochistan issue  gets  secondary  status :Hafiz
QUETTA: The former Member National Assembly and JUI leader, Hafiz Hussain Ahmed has said that the issue of Balochistan was given secondary status in the joint parliament’s in-camera session as compared to the situation of Swat and Waziristan, while the severe situation of the province had required top priority to be given.
Talking to a news agency, he said that the issue of Balochistan is tribal and political and there’s an urgent need to resolve the issue of the provincial autonomy and remove its deprivations.
Commenting on the proposed roundtable conference being convened by the PPP government to address the issue of Balochistan, Hafiz Hussain Ahmed said that it would prolong the issue, instead of resolving it.
He said that the seriousness of the past rulers in resolving the issues of the province could be gauged from the fact that those who were made of the committee on the issues of the province were unfamiliar with the tribal traditions and its geography.
To a query he said that the efforts made to resolve the issues of the province could not be proved fruitful in the past, so there’s a need to resolve them as per the norms of the province.
