Banks refuse to reduce electricity tariff by 40 per cent
QUETTA: City banks refused to reduce the electricity bills by 40 per cent as announced by the government of the day.
People who visited bank branches were disappointed when they were told that banks cannot reduce  electricity bills as announced by the government as they have yet to receive directives from the competent quarter.
With no option citizens came back. Couple of senior bankers while talking with the Balochistan Times, stated that without directives how can they reduce the power bills.
Yes, situation is expected to be clear today after which 40 per cent reduction would be ensured.
