Collective efforts needed for ensuring proper education environment
QUETTA: A joint meeting of the Provincial Ministers and leaders of different political and nationalist parties held with the Vice Chancellor University of Balochistan (UoB), Professor Dr. Masoom Yasinzai in the chair here on Thursday decided to work together to improve the educational environment in the province.
The meeting held at the committee room of the UoB was attended by the Provincial Minister for Education, Shafiq Ahmed Khan and Minister for Quality Education, Jan Ali Changezi, Balochistan National Party’s Habib Jalib Advocate, National Party’s Tahir Bizenjo, Awami National Party’s Khuda-e-Dad Khan, Pashtoonkhaw Milli Awamy Party’s Abdul Rahim Ziaratwal, Jamiat’s Hafiz Hamdullah, representatives of different students organizations, senior faculty members, director colleges and University administration.
The meeting unanimously condemned the untoward incident took place in the UoB on October 15 following which the academic activities had been put off in the UoB and other educational institutions.
The participants assured to improve the educational environment, promote brotherhood and prevent such unpleasant incidents in educational institutions in the time to come.
The meeting also decided that all the parties and organizations would be contacted and talked. A committee was also formed at the parties level, which would discuss the issues of the students and resolve them with consensus. Another meeting would be held after three days, in this regard.
The meeting vowed to hold talks with those who did not participate in the meeting.
