Five perished in road mishap in Tobatek Singh
TOBATEK SINGH, Oct 04 (INP): As many as five persons were killed and seven others sustained injuries in head-on collision between passenger Hiace and truck in Pir Mahal area of Tobatek Singh, police said.
According to the police a speeding passenger Hiace van collided head-on with a truck coming from opposite direction in Pir Mahal area of Tobatek Singh.
As a result of collision five persons were killed on the spot while seven others sustained injuries in the accident.
The police in assistance with locals shifted the bodies and injured to local hospital where according to the hospital sources several among the injured were stated to be in critical condition. I was that feared the death toll may rise further as among injured were in critical condition.
The eyewitnesses and injured told the newsmen that reckless driving and over speeding was the cause of the accident. Immediately identity of the deceased and injured has not been confirmed.
The police registering a case against the Hiace drive responsible for accident have started the investigations.
