Four passengers injured in firing in Bolan
QUETTA: Four passengers sustained bullet wounds on Sunday when some unknown armed robbers opened fire at Bolan-Jacobabad bound passenger van, in Bakhtiarabad area of Bolan district, Bakhtiarabad police told APP by phone.
Armed dacoits tried to stop the van for looting the passengers, but its driver accelerated the van to escape. Following which the dacoits opened fire with a Kalashnikov at the van and fled from the scene, police said.
The injured were shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment and their names could not be ascertained immediately.
Bakhtiarabad police have registered a case against unknown assailants-cum-robbers and started investigation.
