General (R ) Qadir Baloch speaks
TAMBOO Aug 28 (PPI): Member PML-N Balochistan Coordination Committee MNA Lt General (R ) Abdul Qadir Baloch has said that floods caused massive devastations in the province. Though flood is natural calamity yet Jaffarabad and nasirabad were inundated by government people and this should be probed and responsible should be punished.
He was speaking with Media men at Lehri House here Saturday.
He told that he has arrived here to carry out visit of flood hit areas of Nasirabad division to assess losses and chalk out visit programme of Party leader Mian Nawaz Sharif in these areas. He has carried out detailed visit of Jaffarabad and Nasirabad. He found that people suffered massive material and human losses and several villages have been completely washed away.
He said flood is from Almighty Allah but Nasirabad and Jaffarabad were drowned by human beings. Government people diverted flood water towards these districts in a bid to save their lands and rendered people homeless. He said mismanagement is so enormous people were looting relief trucks.
Qadir Baloch said that Jacobabad City is safe from flood. Sindh and Baloch are disconnected by land due to floods. He voiced for introduction of Helicopter service by Army so that affectees from Jacobabad presently living in Nasirabad could be shifted to Jacobabad. It can reduce burden in Nasirabad.
Answering a question former Balochistan Governor said that land routes were now being restored. Muslim League has readied 300 trucks with relief goods which were being desptched to Nasirabad 20 trucks daily.
