Recent floods worst I world: Minister
TAMBOO Aug 29 (PPI): Provincial minister Muhammad Amin Umrani ahs said that recent flood was the ors tint he world and there is no example of such severe floods in the world history.
Speaking with a panel of newsmen which met him under the leadership of President Dera Murad Jamali Press club Ayub Bhutto, Amir Umrani said that recent floods affected roe than 20 million souls and hundreds of people have been killed while their goods, animals and houses have been destroyed. Such massive devastation was not caused any where in the world by floods. Centre and all the four provincial governments were mobilising their available resources for the rehabilitation of affectees and relief activities were going on.
He said in Districts of Nasirabad, Jaffarabad, Jhal Magsi, Kachhi, Sibi, Kohlu and Barkhan floods completely washed away dozens of villages and human life was destroyed.
He aid nearly one million affectees from Sindh including Jacobabad and Jaffarabad were living in Dera Murad Jamali and providing food, ration and tents to such a big population is not easy job.
He said flood water has completely destroyed Tehsil Tamboo. International community, NGOs, should also play their role for their rehabilitation.
