Top posts in Balochistan be led by locals of Balochistan:Talal
QUETTA: Central President Jamhoori Watan Party Nawabzada Talal Bugti has proposed the Senate’s reconciliatory committee to resolve the core issues of Balochistan before initiating its proper functioning. Since the committee was constituted by President Asif Ali Zardari for redressing longstanding problems of Balochistan, it needs to get cognizance of the genuine issues that are impeding the development process.
Talal Bugti demanded of those at the helm of affairs to designate locals of Balochistan on three top provincial administrative posts vis-à-vis Governor, Chief Secretary and Inspector General of Police, irrespective of their ethnic or religious affiliation.
In a Telephonic chat with news agency, Nawabzada Talal Bugti called for an immediate withdrawal of forces from Dera Bugti and Sui and shifting of Judicial courts that were set up in the area during past reign.
“The chronic practice of importing figures from other provinces for aforementioned key posts must immediately end and officers from Balochistan be preferentially considered for such lofty positions, Talal Bugti maintained.
He warned that if the reconciliatory committee overlooked the gray lands cited above, its constitution would prove futile and Balochistan’s marginalization would persist.
