Several religious and political parties took out a rally to protest against blasphemous content on Facebook here in Zhob. A complete shutter down was also observed in this connection. The protesters marched to Markazi Chowk where they converged into a public meeting.
They were carrying banners and placards inscribed with slogans against the planned competition.
Amir JUI Nazaryati Molvi Allah Dad Kakar led the protest rally.
Speaking to the protesters Molvi Allah Dad Kakar Amir JUI Nazaryati, Molvi Habib ur Rehman JUI (F), Ex-Nazim Molvi Sarwar Khan Kakar, Malik Sheikh Muhammad Yar Khan Mandokhail ANP, Rafiq Nasar PPP, Molvi Abdul Karim, Qazi Ahmed Khwasti PML (Q), Haji Juma Rahim and Mula Dad Qureshi Traders Union said that the competition of profane caricatures of Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) on Facebook is tantamount to put the inter-faith religious harmony into danger as well as to damage the sentiments of Muslims across the world.
The competition had harmed the emotions of Muslim Ummah.
They further stated that the disunity of Muslims had been tactfully exploited by the infidels, urging Muslims to unite to thwart such nefarious designs against their religion.
They warned that no single Muslim would tolerate the blasphemy of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) at any cost.
