DERA MURA D JAMALI Dec 9 (PPI): Three armed men beat newly elected councilor and injured him seriously here Monday.
According to details armed men three armed men manhandled Manzoor Ahmed Bhangar newly elected councilor of Ward 3 Municipal Committee Dera Murad Jamali here today. Then they ran away from the scene.
A rally was taken out to protest attack on Manzoor Ahmed in main Bazar and a demonstration staged in front of Press club.
Chief of Taraqee Pasand Panel Waris Abro said participating in election is democratic right of every person and victory or defeat is part of election. But rivals of Manzoor instead of taking their defeat part of elections made it matter of ego and attacked Manzoor. Thus gave a proof of being undemocratic and undemocratic and non political mentality.
He demanded of police for arrest of accused and registration of case against them.
