Balochistan receives rain

QUETTA Mar 23 (PPI): Quetta Valley and other parts of Balochistan remained in grip of rain second consecutive day Sunday. Quetta received 41 millimetres of rain so far. Rains were still falling.
According to details rain started in Quetta and other parts of Balochistan last night. Till five pm this afternoon 41 mm of rains had fallen in Quetta.
Due to thunder rains life was paralysed. Most of the city roads were inundated and turned into water ponds. Sewerage system was completely collapsed and heavy filth was seen at the roads creating problems of the people.
Reports of rainfall have also been received from Pishin, Ziarat, Kan Mehterza, Khanozai, Killa Abdullah, KIlla Saifullah, Zhob, Loralai, Zhob, Barkhan, Harnai, Mastung, Kalat, Surab and other areas where rainfall started last night and continued till today with intervals. A large number of vehicles became faulty and people were seen pushing their vehicles. Motorcycle riders were forced to pass through dirty and filthy water.
Due rains dozens of kutcha houses were damaged in which two persons were injured. Hundreds of telephones were affected.
Thunder this morning created panic among the people.
Minimum temperature recorded here Sunday was 8.5 Celsius and maximum 12 Celsius. Met office has predicted light rain during the coming 24 hours.
