130 million embezzlement unearthed in NBP Ziarat

SANJAVI May 5 (PPI): A massive embezzlement of over Rupees 130 million has been surfaced in National Bank of Pakistan Ziarat Branch. Cashier involved in the fraud escaped.
According to details Manager NBP Ziarat in an application to SHO Ziarat and DPO Ziarat took a stand that Abdul Qayyum Grade-III officer working as cashier in the bank stole Rupees 131.155 million from the bank and escaped. A case should be registered against him.
On information Ziarat Police and Operational staff of National Bank from Quetta reached. Police said that Abdul Qayyum has stolen this money on different occasions. In view of involvement of other staff of the bank investigation orbit was being expanded and they would also be investigated.
Since National Bank is a federal institution and this incident seems to be mater of corruption instead of theft therefore NAB and FIA have also been asked for investigation.
