PISHIN Sep 18 (PPI): For the first time a government of local political parties has been formed in the province which understands it answerable before the people.
This was stated by Balochistan Governor Muhammad Khan Achakzai while addressing Ulusi Jirga here Thursday.
He said practical steps by ministers and advisers of the government for the welfare of people are proof that represented by people?s votes are worth reliable.
He said District Pishin is historic Hub for Pashtoons. Founder of Pakistan qua de Azam stayed in Pishin while burial of Khan of Kalat Khudai Dad further enhances its historical importance. He said history is also witness that Ulema rendered supreme sacrifices for glory of Islam in the area. Ulema of this place were against British imperialism and with Independent Afghanistan of that time.
Governor urged Ulema to come forward and play their rle for the progress and prosperity of the nation and the country.
Muhammad Khan Achakzai said Baloch and Pashtoons are neighbours of each other since thousands of years. These nations are living at their soil. Their friendship reached its climax during the period of Ahmed Shah Baba.
He called upon investors to establish industries and factories in the area so that local people get employment avenues.
While drawing attention of the participation to an important problem Governor said 0.8 million children are admitted into schools at primary level every year which reduced to 150, 000 at the secondary level and it touches just few thousands at higher level. It is very grave. He said education in mother tongue to the children can help better understanding and to deep of education. He said making mother tongue as medium of education can save time of children and energy.
Referring to establishment of residential school in district Pishin Governor assured his fullest cooperation.
Earlier Provincial Minister Sardar Mustafa Tareen, MPA Syed Liaqat Agha, Provincial President PMAP Osman Kakar and Essa Roshan also addressed on the occasion.
Governor also inaugurated water supply scheme in Killi Ibrahimzai. Twenty thousand gallons of water this scheme would benefit 10 thousand people to have drinking water.
