TAMBOO(PPI): People?s Party believes in people?s power. Party leaders gave their lives for their rights but did not bow before dictators nor compromised.
This was stated by President PPP Balochistan Muhammad Sadiq Umrani while addressing a ceremony in which activists form MUtahidda Qaumi Movement announced to join PPP in Dera Murad Jamali Friday.
They expressed confidence in the leadership of Sadiq Umrani, Asif Ali Zardari.
Sadiq Umrani said that those fled the country seeking life before dictator have disappointed the countrymen and large number of people are disappointed with them and joining PPP. It proves to be referendum against the rulers.
He said Karachi would not be allowed to be taken hostage by terrorists. Action against Nine Zero and other areas under NAP is in the larger interest of the people. Political party should discourage terrorists instead of supporting them.
He said that MQM on one hand supports NAP but when its activists are arrested then it protests and makes Karachi its hostage.
Sadiq Umrani said those leaving MQM have joined PPP under the flag of Z A Bhutto and Benazir Bhutto. Party would further activate.
He said success of PPP leader Raza Rabbani is success of democracy and democratic system. PPP provided employment to thousands of unemployed youth and basic facilities to the people.
