Chinese engineer, Pakistani worker still stranded in mine

UTHAL Oct 10 (PPI): Chinese rescue team from China and teams of Mines and Minerals of Balochistan fialed to recover three persons stranded in Zinc mine in Kanraj area of Lasbella District on 18 th day.
Heavy Machinery brought from china was deployed which started sucking water from the mine.
According to details a lift in a Zinc mine in Kanraj area collapsed and fell 700 feet deep inside the mine after its system failed 18 days ago. With the result electricity cables were also cut and water started filling the mine. Two Chinese Engineers and a Pakistani worker Muhammad Anwar were stranded.
Rescue teams from Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Mines and Minerals Baohcistan and Chinese rescue teams came to Kanraj and started effort to rescue stranded persons but failed. Now Chinese motors brought from China have started sucking water form the mine. These motors would recover water form the mien in three to four days and rescue work would start again.
