Chairman GPA-President Summit Bank of Pakistan
GWADAR Aug 10 (PPI): Prime Minister of Pakistan would open International Expo Centre in Gwadar towards fall of the current year in Gwadar. Once Gwadar Port is fully functional there will be rush of banks in the city. A branch of Bank of China would soon be opened in Gwadar.
This was stated by Chairman Gwadar Port Authority Dosten Jamaldini at his meeting with President Summit Bank of Pakistan Zaheer Ismail here.
Group Head Kamran Ashraf and Manager Gwadar Branch ZaMEER Rafiq Siddi were also present.
He said Summit Bank was better working in social sector in Gwadar. He said Summit Bank would grant loan to junior employees and it would ensure best employment opportunities to local people.
He said besides local banks some international banks branches were being opened in Gwadar including Bank of Chin. Working of these banks in Gwadar would further strengthen business investment .
He said Gwadar Port Overseas Port Holding Company has permitted two banks to open branch.
Dosten Jamaldini said contraction would be completed in coming months at Gwadar Free Zone and it has taken months to start the work which was underway very speedily. Chinese were working along with Pakistanis in three shifts.
He told that Prime Minister of Pakistan and Chinese ministers would open first international Expo Centre at Gwadar Free zone in first week of December. One hundred Chinese companies would participate in the expo. He said locals of Gwadar would be included in development of Gwadar. For this Fish processing Company was being established.
President Summit Bank told that Summit Bank and Sindh Bank will be merged in September this year. After merger it would become second major bank of the country. He said Summit Bank was taking interest in working in social sector in Gwadar and would grant loan to small businessmen and fishermen on easy conditions.
