Khurshid Shah demands for list of released Taliban prisoners

SUKKAR, April 19 (Online): Opposition leader in National Assembly (NA) has demanded list of Taliban prisoners released by the government saying setting free the hardened Taliban prisoners is domain of court and not government.
“Releasing hardened Taliban prisoners is job of the judiciary rather than government. Government should provide us list of released Taliban prisoners”, he said this while talking to media men here Saturday.
He stressed that government should too have talked to Taliban about the release of Shahbaz Tasir son of Suleman Tasir, Ali Raza Gilani and Pervez.
He went on to say that the meeting recently held between Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and former president Asif Ali Zardari is a routine matter. This has nothing to do with recent statement of army chief, he underlined.
Opposition leader said that reports about change of chief minister Sindh are wrong and baseless. “Either MQM comes into government or some one else our doors are open to all, he remarked. PPP will stand in front line for the cause of fortification of democracy, he added.
