Monsoon Rains Predicted in Country during current month

QUETTA July 24 (PPI): Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted scattered monsoon rains in the country during the remaining days of the current month.
A Spokesman of PMD informed that monsoon currents are penetrating in the upper parts of the country which are likely to intensify during next couple of days. The monsoon currents would produce scattered rain/thundershowers in Islamabad, Punjab, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and Kashmir during coming few days. Heavy Thundershowers, very heavy at times are also expected at isolated places in Upper Punjab (Rawalpindi, Sargodha, Gujranwala and Lahore divisions), Hazara Division and Kashmir on Friday/Saturday.
Rain-thunderstorm is also expected at isolated places in lower Sindh (Mirpur Khas, Hyderabad and Karachi Divisions), Balochistan (Kalat and Zhob Divisions) and Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) during Thursday/Friday.
During the Eidul Fitr holidays, scattered thundershowers are also expected in Upper Punjab, Upper KP and Kashmir.
