QUETTA: A group of youth took out a protest rally and staged demonstration against the Peshawar school terrorism in the provincial metropolis on Sunday.
The group comprising boys and girls mostly belonging to different educational institutions gathered at the Hockey Chowk to show solidarity with the bereaved families of the martyred school students, teachers and staff denouncing the terrorism.
The rally started from the Hockey Chowk and terminated at the Press Club passing through different city roads.
The protesting youth were carrying the banners and placards inscribed with the slogans condemning the Peshawar carnage of innocent students and teachers and taking those involved in it to task.
Protest demonstration was staged outside the Press Club. The protestors also chanted slogans against the terrorism in the country besides the Peshawar massacre.
They denounced the terrorist act in strongest words.
They said that there’s no word to express grief and sorrow over the incident even. It was a most cruel act of terrorist in which innocent children were attacked and killed, many said.
They said that our hearts are filled with grief. They said that the government should take the perpetrators of the carnage to task as those involved in the terrorist had already met the fate.
They also chanted slogans in favour of Pak army taking harsh action against the terrorist elements in the country.
It may be mentioned here that over 150 persons including students, teachers and the staff of the Army Public School Peshawar were martyred by the armed terrorists.
