QUETTA Jan 27 (PPI): Armed men kidnapped seven mine workers from Sor Range coal field in the suburb Monday-Tuesday.
When contacted Chief Inspector of Mines Iftikhar Ahmed told PPI that armed men abducted seven mine workers of PMDC mines in Sor Range area last night when shit ended and workers were going to their homes. He said reportedly tow of them were said to be freed but no confirmation has been received yet.
While fleeing the area, armed men also set a generator on fire.
Meanwhile President Coal Mines Labour Federation Bakht Nawab while strongly condemning abduction of mine workers demanded their immediate release.
He said that abductors took Rehman Gul, Saleh Muhammad, Lal Muhammad, Noor Muhammad. Sanaullah, Azizur Rehman and Abdul Ghafoor were freed later. He said they were still with the administration and we did not have any contact with them yet.
