QUETTA Feb 25 (PPI): President Balochistan National Party Sardar Akhtar Mengal has said that ruling clique has always been involve din horse-trading who by using personal and official money bought members.
He said BNP has always been pushed to the wall and it was not accorded importance which other parties enjoy. If the same attitude remained it would be forced to extreme measures in the province.
He was addressing a Press conference at his residence here Wednesday.
A noted lawyer Pervez Zahoor Advocate announced to join BNP along with his supporters.
Deputy Organiser Dr Jahan Zeb Jamaldini, MPA Hamal Kalmati and others were also present.
Akhtar Mengal said history is witness our workers rendered supreme sacrifices for national security, strengthening democracy and rights of the people. Thus we have reached at the point where we stand today. But he regretted authoritative forces did not give us status which other parties are accorded. Despite all this situation no one could snatch people?s love form us. And people were joining our party in large numbers.
He said we support Show of Hands for end to horse trading. But rulers would not adopt this process because it is they who prompted horse trading and use personal and official funds for purchasing members.
He said soon an alliance of allied parties would emerge for end to horse trading in the province and would inform people of its course of action.
Answering a question Akthar Mengal a former Balochistan chief Minister said BNP was ready for general elections earlier but holding general elections was not in his control or the control of Imran Khan. It is power of such forces which have been deciding fate of the country form advent of Pakistan till now.
Answering another question he said National Party is indebted to BNP for election of Senate. He said a delegation fo our party contacted Hasil Bizenjo and Dr Malik but Dr Malik takes decisions. He said our anger with rulers based on principles because they adopted a behavior which we neither consider rulers as ours not rulers take us as theirs. If the same behavior continued BNP would take extreme steps.
He welcomed Pervez Zahoor Advocate into party folds who expressed confidence in our party and joined it.
Pervez Zahoor Advocate said he has been studying police for 40 years and has come to the occlusion that BNP is the only party which was working for betterment of nation and strength of democracy.
