SIBI Mar 3 (PPI): Required target of deserving people could not be achieved during first phase of survey. Then poor were indicated through Members of Parliament. It was followed by a survey again in 2010 in which Statistical Division and other institutions conducted survey. At this survey poor families were registered and relief started.
This was stated by Chairperson Benazir Income support Programme MNA Marvi Memon while speaking to Newsmen here today.
She said this financial assistance was started through post offices and then through debit cards, mobile phones and banks. Banks and other institutions were deducting commissions by deceiving them. She made it clear that she would not tolerate such agents and institutions at all and a movement would be launched against them so that poor women get their monthly relief in full.
Marvi Memon said it was under consideration to include poor families failed to include in the previous survey.
She added that there is need for a good system and another survey under the policy so that maximum number of most poor could be enlisted and Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif?s mission for ending poverty could be completed.
