Balochistan Sports Festival closing ceremony today

QUETTA: The closing ceremony of Balochistan Sports Festival 2015 is scheduled to be held today (Monday) at the Ayub Stadium here.
The Governor Balochistan, Muhammad Khan Achakzai is likely to be chief guest at the closing ceremony. The ceremony is also being attended by the Commander Southern Command, Lt. General Nasir Khan Janjua, the provincial ministers, members of the assembly, senior military and civil officers, besides other government functionaries, a large number of people belonging to different walks of life and sports persons and officials.
It may be mentioned here that the Balochistan Sports Festival was inaugurated in a colourful ceremony on March 22 in the provincial metropolis, so it lasted nine days in row.
Different sports events were organized as part of the Sports Festival at different venues mostly in the spacious Ayub Stadium.
In addition to the sports competitions, different other healthy activities were also organized in continuation of the Sports Festival.
These were included: commemoration of different days i.e., Media Day, Martyrs’ of Balochistan Day, Special Children’s Day, Artist Day and Teachers’ Day.
It was second edition of the Festival as the first one was organized last year 2014. This time, the Sports Festivals were also arranged at the divisional level.
Tough security arrangements have been made on eve of the closing ceremony. Additional deployment of the Police, Frontier Corps (FC) and other law enforcers have been made in and outside the venue i.e., Ayub Stadium to avert any untoward incident.
