QUETTA(PPI): Turbat incident has shaken him. Coalition government strongly condemns this incident. Despite this incident development would continue in Mekran and other parts of the province.
This was stated by Balochistan Chief Minister Dr Abdul Malik Baloch while speaking to Newsmen here Thursday.
He said he does under understand any major operation was going to take place in the province. He said Turbat incident took place due to inefficiency of Levies officials. He said at the time of incident some eight Levies officials were on duty who did not offer any resistance. He said JIT has been formed for investigation of this incident which would give its findings within one week and further action would be taken .
Chief Minister made it clear despite Turbat incident development process would continue in Mekran and other parts of Balochistan. He aid presently 600 workers were working on Turbat University and Mekran Medical College in Turbat. Their security has been ensured so that these important projects are completed in time.
Dr Malik Baloch said government was taking measures for improving law and order and major chunk of our resources was being spent on salaries of Police and Levies men, providing them modern facilities and their training.
He said our efforts were yielding positive outcome and situation has greatly improved in Quetta, Khuzdar and other districts. But he added Turbat incident is a big shock.
He said Levies force has been made active and we are fully determined and hopeful for further improvement tin situation. He said our resources are meager and major chunk of our budget i.e Rupees 190 billion was being spent on payment of salaries while Rupees 40 to 45 billion are left for development. It raises question if we would spent all the funds on salaries how development process would go further, he added.
