IG FC chairs security conference

QUETTA(PPI): Inspector General Frontier corps Balochistan Major General Sher Afgun while stressing need of mutual coordination among law enforcement agencies to defeat menace of terrorism in the province has said officials of law enforcement agencies should keep strict on law and order situation in t her respective areas and keep effective coordination with the people so that terrorists and criminal elements can be dealt with effectively.
He expressed these views while chairing security conference here Friday.
DIG FC Brig Tahri Mahmood, Sector Commander North Brig Arshad Mahmood, Sector commander south brig Allah Nawaz, Commandants of all FC Units, Divisional Commissioners Qambar Dashti, Akbar Harifal, Muhammad Fawad, Ghulam Ali Baloch, Regional Police officers and other senior officers of police, civil administration attended.
Meeting paid tributes to martyrs of forces laid down their lives while discharging their duty.
It also reviewed law and order situation in the province and along the borders, professional matters of law enforcement agencies and training of jawans and took important decisions.
IG said FC would continue to extend cooperation for development of Balochistan and betterment of people along with people, civil administration, police and other government bodies.
He called upon t the officers to develop coordinated strategy between FC, police and civil administration for establishing peace so that facilitators of terrorists hiding among the people and government organisations sympathizers and financial supporters could be effectively dealt with.
He said purpose of security conference is to exchange views among law enforcement agencies, strengthening relation of trust and making more effective efforts for improving law and order in the province.
At the second session FC Command Conference reviewed operational, training and administration capability of Frontier Corps. IG FC called for ensuring merit at the appointment process in FC. He also stressed Commandants to remain alert along the borders and ensure effective monitoring.
He also appreciated recent operation against terrorists involve d in Turbat incident and ordered tough measures against terrorists and criminals.
He reiterated FC?s determination that no sacrifice would be spared for making Balochistan peaceful and exemplary province. And effective coordination would be made with people and administration. He said orbit of operation against terrorists would be expanded further and all resources would be mobilized for their elimination.
