FC defuse IED in Mand area, injure 2 militants

QUETTA Apr 24 (PPI): Frontier Corps troops defused an IED planted on the route of public transport in Mand area.
According to details FC troops spotted an IED planted along public transport route in Gawak area of Mand some 120 Km from Turbat. It was defused. During this process militants opened fire on Patrol party of FC. It was returned in which two terrorists injured while large quantity of arms and ammunition were also recovered. Large quantity of arms and ammunition 303 rifle (1), 3-feet rocket (1), SMGs (2) rounds, IED (1) and motorcycle.
In another action in Chambaza area of Loralai FC along with ANF troops and civil administration destroyed Opium crop over 30 acres of land in Loralai. Ten tractors were also employed in the activity.
IG FC Major General Sher Afgun while appreciating successful action said that FC would continues its action against poppy growers, drug pushers and criminal elements in the province.
