Govt. formed effective system for monitoring of measles vaccination

QUETTA: The provincial government had formed an effective system for monitoring of the anti-measles campaign being carried out in the province besides allocating a huge amount for the same.
This was informed by the Secretary Health, Noorul Haq Baloch, Director General Health, Dr. Farooq Azam and the eminent pediatrician, Dr. Bashir Ahmed Kakar while briefing the members of the provincial assembly here the other day.
They said that the government has taken serious steps to eradicate the fatal disease of measles from the province.
The health professionals and workers have been imparted necessary training at the union council level, they maintained.
The Secretary Health on the occasion mentioned that the vaccine being used in the campaign is verified from the World Health Organization (WHO), which had been provided by UNICEF.
The vaccine has so far been administered to some 60 million children all over the country, the Secretary Health mentioned.
