QUETTA: The Provincial Health Department has suspended the Medical Officer of Orthopedic Unit, Sandeman provincial Headquarter Hospital Quetta, Dr. Anwar Zaman son of Inamullah Khan with immediate effect.
According to an official notification issued here by the Health Department, the suspension has been made on the basis of his continuous absence from his duty after approval from the competent authority.
Moreover, according to another notification of the Provincial Health Department, the Medical Officer, Pediatric Unit-IV of Sandeman Provincial Headquarter Hospital, Dr. Hidayatullah has also been placed under suspension on committing negligence and carelessness in treatment of six children shifted from Killa Saifullah to the Pediatric Unit-IV.
It may be mentioned here that four out of six children died on April 15.
