Awareness campaign launched against use of tobacco

QUETTA: The awareness campaign has been launched for prevention of the use of tobacco and other drugs by the Tobacco Control Cell Balochistan in different educational institutions here.
The Coordinator of the Tobacco Control Cell Balochistan, Ms. Talatur Rehman had meetings with the EDO Ghufran Ahmed and his team with regard to the awareness campaign against use of tobacco and its ill effects on the human lives.
Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Talatur Rehman informed that a number of people including youth are addicted of the tobacco which is a matter of concern.
She claimed that the tobacco and other related diseases are claiming lives of around 400 persons daily in the country.
She pointed out that the stuff prepared with tobacco are equally harmful and injurious to health of the people so they must avoid them for the sake of their and their beloveds’ health.
Referring the awareness campaign, the Coordinator of the Tobacco Control Cell said that it is aimed at creating awareness among the children from their tender age so that they must refrain from the tobacco and other stuff.
