Leaves of doctors, medical staff cancelled

QUETTA: The Provincial Health Department has cancelled leaves of all the medical and other staff in the government hospitals in view of the forewarning of heavy rains and flood in different parts of the province.
This was announced by the Provincial Minister for Health, Mir Rehmat Saleh Baloch while chairing a meeting of the department the other day.
The meeting reviewed the overall situation of the department with the focus on provision of necessary health cover to the people in rain and flood hit areas.
It was briefed to the Minister Health that necessary steps have been taken by the Health department for provision of health care facilities.
A medical camp equipped with all necessary medical facilities has been set up in the Musa khail.
The anti-malaria spray is being done in the affected areas for prevention of malaria disease, it was informed further.
The medicines of worth Rs. 1 million each have been sent to the District Headquarter Hospitals of Naseerarbad, Jaffarabad, Jhal Magsi and Khuzdar.
Similarly, directives have also been issued for the same in Loralai, Zhob and Shirani, he mentioned.
