Dr. Hashmi stresses effective planning to resolve rising civic problems

QUETTA: The Member Provincial Assembly, Dr. Ruqayia Saeed Hashmi has stressed the need to make an effective planning for addressing the issues being faced by the Quetta city and its dwellers.
She was talking to a delegation from Hazara Town, who called on her, here the other day. The Member of Quetta District Council, Muhammad Raza Hazara led the delegation.
The issues of the Quetta city in general and of Hazara Town in particular were discussed during the meeting.
The members of the delegation pointed out towards certain problems being faced by the people of Hazara Town.
The MPA belonging to Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) gave a patient hearing to their issues and assured to play her part in this regard.
She said that there’s no denying the fact that the Quetta city is facing numerous civic issues like water shortage, sewerage and sanitation, cleanliness and others.
Although we are doing our best to resolve the same issues utilizing our MPA Funds, but with the limited funds, the issues couldn’t be addressed so effectively.
We need an effective planning to resolve the civic issues as the limited MPA Funds are not enough to address the lingering numerous problems, she maintained.
Dr. Ruqayia Saeed Hashmi on the occasion also mentioned that it is her earnest desire and endeavour to spend her MPA Fund on the development activities in Quetta. It is her priority to provide basic facilities of life to the people, she said.
She also referred to the local bodies system saying that it would help address the civic issues in a big way, however, the concerned representatives have to play their pivotal role.
She also voiced for provision of necessary funds and resources to the local bodies representatives so that they are able to play their role well.
