QUETTA: A meeting on Quetta Safe City Project was held here the other day. The Additional Chief Secretary (Development), Naseebullah Khan Bazai chaired the meeting.
The high ups of the concerned Home, Police Force and other concerned departments attended the meeting. Different matters pertaining to the Project were discussed on the occasion.
It may be mentioned here that the Quetta Safe City Project was finalized by the provincial government. According to the official sources, under the Safe City Project, extra ordinary safety measures would be adopted to ensure safety of the people and their property.
The Project would cost around Rs. 1.75 billion. Under the QSCP, the modern scanners and Close Circuit Television (CCTV) cameras would be installed at the entry and exit as well as other points including the Red Zone.
Similarly, 1,440 CCTV cameras would be installed at 279 various points of the city. The cameras would be bullet and fire proof.
As per the sources, the installation of the CCTV cameras would be started from the route of Muharramul Haraam and then the same would be installed in the Red Zone and then other parts of the metropolis.
