QUETTA: A meeting of the Population Welfare Department officers was held with the newly appointed Director General, Abdul Latif Kakar in the chair here.
The overall performance of the Population Welfare Department was reviewed in the meeting.
The Directors of the Department briefed the meeting about their respective sections and the projects being executed by them.
Director Planning and Monitoring, Abdul Majeed, Director Technical, Dr. Abida Gul and Director Admin, Ali Muhammad Baloch also spoke about the issues being faced by them.
Addressing the meeting, the Director General urged the officers of Population Welfare to work as a team to bring improvement in its overall working and achieve its goals.
He also stressed the need to strive for health of the mother and child, which is prime responsibility of the department.
He directed to the concerned to provide maximum facilities to the people about family planning and that population welfare.
He said that we have to set good traditions demonstrating good performance.
The Director General also assured that an effective course of action would be prepared to resolve the issues being faced by the officers and staff of the department.
He also assured that the population welfare programmes would also be made effective at the district level.
However, a strong commitment is needed for the purpose, adding he stressed.
