QUETTA: The Commandant Balochistan Constabulary (BC), Dr. Mujeebur Rehman has stated that the BC is struggling shoulder to shoulder with other law enforcement agencies (LEAs) to maintain law and order in the province.
He said that several jawans have rendered sacrifice of their lives in line of their duty and that protection of life and property of the masses and thus have made the history.
The BC Commandant stated so while talking to the media persons here the other day. He maintained that the BC is not merely a reserve force rather it is equipped with modern facilities and trained force, which is ready to face any challenging situation.
He also said that we are proud of those personnel who sacrificed their lives and ensured safety of the people discharging their duties.
Dr. Mujeebur Rehman mentioned that the process of reforms is underway to put the BC on modern lines thanks to the Inspector General of Police, Muhammad Amlish, who took special interest in this regard, he added.
The morale of the Force has also been boosted following the measures being taken for their uplift while the personnel are also being provided all necessary facilities, which are available for the regular District Police.
The Commandant on the occasion also informed that the proportion of increase in the salaries of the BC jawans is also the same as of the Police force.
The traditional uniform of the BC jawans has also been replaced with the regular Force union, he said adding that they are well prepared to tackle any law and order situation in the province.
