Deputy Mayor seeks role of citizens in cleanliness

QUETTA: The Deputy Mayor of Quetta Metropolitan Corporation (QMC), Muhammad Younas Baloch has sought the role of citizens in keeping the city clean.
In a statement issued here, the Deputy Mayor expressed his satisfaction over the arrangements made for cleanliness on occasion of the Eidul Azha.
The Deputy Mayor said that the proper arrangements were made for disposal of the offal and other remains of the sacrificial animals on eve of the Eidul Azha. The staff of the Metropolitan Corporation remained active during the otherwise public holidays declared on the festive occasion of Eid in the metropolis, Younas Baloch commended.
It had been endeavor of the QMC staff to keep the city clean removing the remains of the animals sacrificed in different parts of the city.
The Corporation’s vehicles were also heavily engaged in lifting the garbage and offal of the animals, he maintained.
He said that it is collective responsibility of the citizens to keep the city clean. So, they must cooperate with the Corporation staff in this regard, adding he stressed.
The Deputy Mayor said that we are determined to keep the city clean, and for the purpose, all available resources are being mobilized.
