Transport authorities ask transporters to
improve condition of their transport

QUETTA: The Provincial Transport Authority (PTA) in collaboration with the Regional Transport Authority (RTA) had expedited further the crackdown against the poor condition local buses plying on different local routes.
In this regard, route permits of four local buses of Sariab route would be suspended during inspection carried out by the Secretary PTA Balochistan, Abdul Khaliq Mandokhail, Secretary RTA, Amanullah Khan Panezai and the Focal Person, Jan Muhammad Muhammad Hassani.
Speaking on the occasion, the Secretary PTA said that the action has been speeded up against the poor condition local buses on directives of the Minister Transport and Excise, Sheikh Jaffar Khan Mandokhail and Secretary Transport, Muhammad Khalid Baloch.
He said that it would not be allowed to ply the poor condition buses on all routes including the local ones and otherwise.
He asked the transporters and drivers to behave well with the passengers facilitating them fully on their respective routes.
He also asked them to improve condition of their buses so that they as well as the passengers may not suffer.
In this regard, the necessary repair and maintenance of the buses should be made as soon as possible, he directed further.
The Secretary PTA, on the occasion, also noted with contentment that the condition of transport has improved during last two years in the province.
