QUETTA: The Commissioner Quetta Division, Kambar Dashti has directed to the Deputy Commissioners and Chairman Price Control Committees to make the price control committee more effective ensuring sale of the edibles as per the official price list maintaining their good quality.
He was addressing a meeting held to review different matters here the other day. The meeting discussed the matters pertaining to prices of the edibles, role of price control committees besides the polio related issues and the law and order situation. Those who were in attendance were in the meeting were included: Additional Commissioner Quetta, Muhammad Qasim Mengal, Deputy Commissioner Killa Abdullah, Khuda-e-Dad Khan Ahmed zai, Deputy Commissioner Pishin, Abdul Wahid Kakar, Deputy Commissioner Noshki, Abdullah Khan Nasser, Deputy Commissioner Chaghai, Khuda-e-Nazar Barech, Additional Deputy Commissioner Quetta, Muhammad Yaqoob Marri and Additional Deputy Commissioner, Political, Nasarullah Khan Kakar.
Certain decisions were also made on the occasion.
Referring the polio, the Commissioner Quetta stressed that every possible resources should be mobilized for prevention and eradication of polio virus from the division. In this regard, it should be ensured to administer the anti-polio vaccine to each and every child in all the union councils, he stressed further.
He also stressed that the parents, who have been refusing to get their children administered against polio disease, should be motivated by visiting their homes time and again so as to secure their as well as other children’s future, he added.
He also directed to review performance of the staff engaged in the polio immunization campaign. Disciplinary action would be taken against those showing poor performance. The necessary report of the performance should be submitted to him so as to take action there on, he directed further.
He also directed to the deputy commissioners to make the health and education related committees effective conducting their meetings on regular basis.
Moreover, complete survey should also be conducted with regard to provision of facilities in the health and education sector, he maintained.
The Commissioner also directed to launch crackdown against those shopkeepers selling poor quality and expiry products.
The inspection of medical stores should also be conducted so as to check the sale of fake and expiry drugs there, he directed further.
He stressed that stern action should be taken against those medical stores running without valid license and experienced staff.
Regarding law and order, the Commissioner directed to the concerned to take action against the wanted and proclaimed offenders in their respective areas.
Concerted and collective efforts should be made in this regard by compiling the list of such criminals, he directed further.
Moreover, the process of recruitment of the levies personnel should also be made transparent, he stressed.
Earlier, the Deputy Commissioners of different districts presented the reports about law and order situation in their areas. The preparations for the forthcoming anti-polio campaign in different districts were also reviewed on the occasion.
