Delegation of transporters meets Minister Transport

QUETTA: A delegation of Taftan Mushtarka Bus Federation and local bus transporters called on the Provincial Minister for Transport, Excise and Revenue, Sheikh Jaffar Khan Mandokhail here the other day.
President of the Federation and tribal leader, Jumma Khan Badini led the delegation.
He and representatives of other transporters apprised the Minister about the problems being faced by them.
They told the Minister that the local transporters have reservations over the government decisions made regarding the buses of 2006 model and time table.
They said that the transporters can’t afford to purchase vehicles of 2006 model.
There would be a risk of clash in case the time table was ignored, they further pointed out.
Sheikh Jaffar Mandokhail gave a patient hearing to the issues of transporters and assured to remove the apprehensions of the transporters.
It may be mentioned here that the Provincial Transport Authority (PTA) had taken notice of the old fashioned buses plying on the city roads and in other parts.
It was decided to take action against such the transport replacing the old buses with at least 2006 model buses.
