Electricity connections of defaulters disconnected on non-payment

QUETTA: Quetta Electric Supply Company (QESCO) has expedited its campaign against the illegal electricity connection holders and the defaulters of the utility bills and arrears in Quetta and other parts of the province.
According to the sources of QESCO, connections of several illegal connection holders and defaulters were disconnected in Quetta and its surrounding areas.
The QESCO sources said that 21 illegal commercial and 15 domestic connections were disconnected in Kechi Baig area.
Five of the illegal connection holders were also arrested during the campaign in Kechi Baig area. However, they were released after charging them heavy fine by the QESCO teams supervised by the Superintending Engineer, Baz Muhammad Mandokhail and Executive Engineer, Sariab Division, Zahoor Marri.
Moreover, 14 connections were disconnected in Sariab, Bibi Ziarat area of Quetta suburb.
While on the other hand, connections of 15 agriculture consumers were also disconnected in these areas.
In addition to it, as many as 21 connections of the domestic and commercial consumers were also disconnected on non-payment.
It has been asked to all the defaulting consumers to pay their dues immediately. Otherwise, action would be taken against them suspending power supply to them.
