North Karachi children hospital to be functional soon

Provincial Minister Health Jam Mehtab Hussain Dahar on Wednesday took serious notice of delay in making functional the Government Children Hospital North Karachi and directed Secretary Health to remove all hurdles in making this hospital fully working.
In a statement issued here, Jam Mehtab said the hospital was constructed with a huge amount to provide relief to the people of the area and to reduce burden of patients on the NICH. In this regard we had cooperation of the JICA from Japan. He assured that all hindrances in making it functional would be removed soon and best possible medical facilities would be provided to the patients.
Meanwhile, the provincial health minister said that all measures had been taken to save people from expected severe heat waves and all departments concerned including health department were on high alert and they had close liaison to counter any situation.
He also requested to general public to adopt precautionary measures during severe heat wave and discourage those who were trying to create panic in this regard. He was of the opinion that the government had learned a lot from last year bitter experience and had taken steps to avoid deaths caused by heat stroke.
