TAMBOO/CHATTAR Apr 28 (PPI): May 4 dharna and protest is for securing rights of people and foil ulterior motives of exploitative forces. No attention was being paid on problems of people in District Nasirabad. To express its anger PPP would stage a demonstration on May 4.
This was stated by former Member PPP Central committee and former President PPP Balochistan Muhammad Sadiq Umrani while briefing Newsmen at his residence Umrani House in Dera Murad Jamali Thursday.
He Uch Power Plant is bound to spend five percent of its income on welfare of people of Dera Murad Jamali but by depriving of electricity they were being exploited.
He said people fo Dera Murad Jamali should be given ownership rights. Notification approved by provincial cabinet on May 21, 2010 should be implemented with immediate effect and people should be given allotment.
He asked provincial government for allocating development funds to all the districts according to area and population. He demanded inquiry into Rupees tow billion released to MBR where this amount was spent.
Sadiq Umrani further demanded shifting of administration offices to Chattar Sub Division and they should be directed to stay their .
He also demanded for end to unannounced load shedding in Nasirabad and probe into non completion of sewerage projects initiated during 2002. Doctors shortage at the Nasirabad and Jaffarabad districts should be overcome. Canal water of pat Feeder and Rabi canals should be resorted and it should be provided to zamindars.
He also called for establishing NADRA offices at Chattar and Mir Hassan. He also said registration of fake and false FIRs at the police stations immediately.
He warned would be protest for rights of people at every forum. May four protest would be peaceful and if administration made any interference then dharna and protest can continue for indefinite period.
