5 Policemen injured in remote control bomb explosion

QUETTA May 3 (HQ): Five officials of Rapid Response Group of Balochistan Constabulary sustained injuries when a remote control bomb exploded under their vehicle here Tuesday.
According to details a caravan of RRG left for duty at Jaffar Khan Chowk this morning. When the first vehicle of the caravan was moving along Eastern By Pass terrorists exploded the device. As a result five inmates including driver sustained injuries. Constable Nawaz, Muhammad Javaid, Muhammad Ramzan, Tariq and Liaqat Ali were among the injured. Their Incharge ASI Noor Muhammad escaped unhurt. Injured policemen were shifted to civil hospital and then to CMH. Condition of three of them is stated to be serious.
On information Police and FC troops reached the scene and cordoned it. Bomb Disposal Squad was called which collected evidences from the scene.
DIG Police Chaudhry Sarwar, Commandant BC Dr Mujeebur Rehman, SSP Operations Nadeem Ahmed and other officers inspected the site.
Speaking with Newsmen SSP Operation Nadeem said that condition of three injured policemen was very serious. He said police was not frightened of coward terrorists and they would be taken to task.
A case against unknown terrorists has been registered at New Sariab Police Station.
Balochistan chief Minister Nawab Sanaullah Zehri while condemning the explosion has called immediate report.
