Cold weather grips Valley, Ziarat receives light snowfall

QUETTA Jan 6 (PPI): A very cold weather has gripped Quetta Valley and other parts of Balochistan while Ziarat Valley received light snowfall Friday.

According to details strong cold winds lashed Quetta Valley and adjoining areas at a velocity of 30 knots today. It was coupled with gusty winds raising dust.

Weather became very cold. Cold winds dropped day’s (maximum) temperature to 10 Celsius from 17.5 of yesterday. Minimum temperature was 2.4 Celsius today.

Cold and hazy weather has been predicted during coming 24 hours.

Ziarat Valley received light snowfall today. Cold has increased in the area with blowing of cold winds. There was total disappearance of gas pressure in the area and people had to suffer a lot. At the same time worst load shedding of electricity also hit the area. There is 15 to 16 hours load shedding a day.

Dry and cold winds also hit Killa Abdullah, Mazadi Addah and adjoining areas. People pulled out their woollies and warm clothes toward off cold. Dry cold has increased cold, flu, chest congestion and respiratory problems.
