Earth Hour observed

QUETTA mar 25 (PPI): Earth Hour was observed in Balochistan as elsewhere in the country Saturday night.
During Earth Hour additional lights of Balochistan Assembly were put off from 0830 to 0930 pm.
In her message on Earth Hour Speaker Balochistan Assembly Mohtarma Rahila Durrani said that observing earth hour is aimed at to create awareness among our people about saving energy, atmospheric changes and increase in world temperatures and we can save our planet.
She said we can shut off additional lights for one hour we can overcome waste of energy to meet challenges facing future of earth.
She said saving energy and security of environment Earth Hour has great importance for Pakistan. She said Balochistan is situated on Seismic zone and there is dire need to create awareness among the people on Meteorological changes.
Appreciating government measures for improving energy sector she said country under the leadership of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was heading towards economic development. Several energy projects under CPEC were under implementation and their completion would increase electricity generation more.
