May 4 (PPI): Forty six billion dollars CPEC project is not only for building highways but electricity generation, rail track and economic zones projects have been included which would not only be potent source of country’s development but of regional prosperity also.
This was stated by Senator Taj Hyder while chairing meeting of Senate Special committee on CPEC here Thursday.
Members of Committee Senators Chaudhry Tanvir Khan, NIhal Hashmi, Karim Ahmed Khan, Muhammad Osman Kakar, Saifullah Magsi, Noman Wazir, Farhatullah Babar and Muhammad Daud Khan Advocate attended meeting.
Member National Highways Authority Muhammad Yusuf Barakzai apprised committee on short, medium and long term projects of CPEC. Committee was informed with the help of video and picture of ongoing and future projects of Western and Eastern. Information were also given on energy sector, building highways, headway in trade and business and economic situation of the region.
Chairman Taj Hyder said that with CEPC project every part of the country would progress and prosper and with this project entire world including Pakistan and China would fully benefit form economic activities.
Member of special committee expressing satisfaction said that project would have positive impacts on economy of the Balochistan and Pakistan as well.
