Water situation worsens as Pat Feeder Canal closure prolongs

TAMBOO May 7 (PPI): Prolonged closure of Pat Feeder Canal water crisis has become grave. Water ponds are drying up and hundred so livestock are dying. Supply of water should be started in the canal immediately.
According to details prolonged closure of Pat Feeder canal in name of desilting water is drying up in Nasirabad, Tamboo, Dera Murad Jamali, Chattar, Rabi Canal, Pat Feeder Androon and people re thirsty of even single drop of water. Reports of dying of hundreds of livestock have also been received. People were striving for securing water as its demand increase during hot weather.
There are apprehensions of water crisis during khareef season for cultivation of crops and as such there is danger of lakhs of acres of land to become barren which may lead to drought in Nasirabad and adjoining areas.
Political circles and people have demanded of Balochistan chief minister to start supply of water in Pat Feeder canal immediately so that people get the water and khareef season is ensure water.
