ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Air Force on Monday welcomed the Chinese President Xi Jinping in a befitting manner upon his arrival into Pakistani airspace, ARY News reported.
According to details, a PAF squadron comprising eight JF-17 Thunder jets surrounded the Chinese president’s aircraft forming a security buffer around it.
According to a PAF statement, it is PAF’s unique tradition of welcoming the visiting heads of states/ governments of the friendly countries whenever they are on their official visits to Pakistan.
The PAF squadron led by Wing Commander Nauman Khalil escorted President Xi Jinping’s aircraft to PAF Base Nur Khan.
Later, two formations consisting of four JF-17 jets also presented a fly-past to the dignified guest at the airbase.
