TURBAT Oct 13 (PPI): Government has created atmosphere of education and technology in the province. Youth should take benefit from it and build their bright and exemplary future. They should look forward for acquiring education instead of seeking employments and prepare themselves for higher status.
These views were expressed by Balochistan Chief Minister Dr Abdul Malik Baloch while addressing cheque distribution ceremony under PM Fee Reimbursement Programme at Turbat University here Tuesday.
Upon arrival at University, Vice chancellor Professor Abdul Razzaq Sabir, faculty members and students accorded him a grand welcome.
Additional Chief Secretary Planning and Development Naseebullah Bazai, Senior Member Board of Revenue Qamar Masood, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Muhammad Naseem Lehri, Commissioner Mekran Division, Mayor Turbat Qazi Ghulam Rasool and other senior officers were also present. Chief Minister distributed cheques among 80 students on the occasion.
He said present is era of competition and ability where only such people would be successful who would be equipped with education and wisdom. Therefore students should make work and devotion their habit to harmonise them with modern day demands.
He said in the past people are considered as big and rich who had money, animals, land. But now time has changed. Now those having education, knowledge, skill and character are considered as big. He asked students to take them to a level from where they can lay their role for the development of the country, province and nation and secure their rights as well.
He also inaugurated Computer Lab and Video Conferencing Link at the university linking it national and international universities through inter link.
Terming this video link chief Minister expressed hope that it would help students and techers for their research.
He announced Rupees five million for providing laptops to 100 talented students.
While appreciating discipline and education standard at the university he expressed hope that students passing out from this institution would develop their name at the national and international levels.
Speaking with Chief Minister, Vice chancellor Abdul Razzaq and faculty members paid tributes to chief minister’s education friendship. They said due his efforts University building project was being completed in short span of 15 months by funds form Federal government and Higher Education Commission.
Students termed Chief Minister’s speech on the occasion as beacon light for them and expressed commitment that they would work hard for building their character and acquiring education.
Chief Minister also visited Turbat Girl College and inspected under construction computer Lab and Library.
Principal and female teachers apprised him of their problems and requested for their resolution.
Later Chief Minister visited under construction Balochistan Residential College Turbat building and directed that the project should be completed in time and with quality.
